Antonio Guarino is a Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics at University College London (UCL) and Co-Director of the UCL Centre for Finance (CfF). He earned a PhD in Economics from New York University, after previous studies at the Universities of Milan (Doctorate in Economics), Bocconi University (MSc in Economics) and LUISS (BSc in Economics). His research interests span finance, economic theory, and experimental economics. He has published his work in top journals in Economics and Finance and received research grants from many funders in the EU and the UK. He is a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). The founder and first director (2017- 2019) of the UCL Centre for Finance, he served as Head of the Department of Economics from 2020 to 2023 and as the President of the Association of Italian Scientists in the UK (AISUK) from 2016 to 2020.
